Review of The Dead and Buried by Kim Harrington

A Ghostly Good Read

So I am new to blogging so you'll have to excuse if I commit a faux pas when it comes to posting.  I love to read and I have been lucky enough to sign up for books to review through my groups at Goodreads. A shout out to my group Never Too Old for Y.A.Books at Goodreads! And now I have signed up at Net Galley and ask publishers directly for digital ARC's for review! :)

This particular book I received through Net Galley, Scholastic, Inc. is the publisher and the author is Kim Harrington. I received the book with the understanding that I am to post my review online at my blog. This is my first review so please bear with me.

The Dead and Buried is a paranormal YA book where a teenage girl and her family move to Boston and into a house where the previous owner's teenage daughter was murdered.  The book starts off a little choppy but then takes off for an interesting and ghostly mystery read. The plot develops nicely and the characters are engaging; the heroine is likable. The book's publisher is Scholastic so it is a clean book, no sexual situations nor profanity or mention of drugs. I tried very hard to overlook the grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, and formatting because I know that it is a work in progress but it did distract me. I am definitely recommending this to my YA groups and my teen's friends.
